The Forbes business in partnership with (FIN) Foreign Investment Network recently concluded its annual Leadership and Philanthropic discussion in Africa. It is one of the most important international African business and leadership event held annually. This event not only brings together voices from celebrated, successful and influencing personalities across a common platform, but the platform is also utilised for recognising the contributions from these businessmen, philanthropists and personalities in their respected fields.
One of these business personalities is Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, noted businessman, philanthropist and charity worker from Zambia. During this roundtable conference, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was invited an honorary speaker. However, this honour was further extended with Dr. Rajan Mahtani becoming one of the esteemed awardees. Forbes in partnership with FIN bestowed Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani with the prestigious ‘Best of Africa Award’ for the year 2021. In this award, there are several categories and Dr. Rajan Mahtani received the ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2021 award. This award was given for Dr. Mahtani’s significant contributions towards redefining the banking industry of Zambia.
While the award ceremony generally takes plan in NYU, United States, this year’s award ceremony was held online on 6th August 2021, largely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, the significance of the ceremony along with the round table conference did not reduce even a single bit and several top leaders and business personalities took part in the roundtable conference for leadership in philanthropy and business. These included members of international business network and community, entrepreneurs, policy makers, opinion leaders, politicians, religious leaders, international investors as well as media partners.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani accepted the award in an extremely humble manner, thanking god for his significant support despite the various challenges he has faced in life. In his speech, he said that despite undergoing several trials as well as tribulations, his God’s grace has ensured his success. He is reborn as Christian and his CEO (Chief Executive Officer) his Jesus Christ. He also thanked his team for taking responsibility and ensuring success.
