Full Support For The Latest Decision From The Zambian President.

Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema stated his intentions to repeal the death penalty law on the occasion of Africa Day. It is an antiquated law from a bygone era that has no application in the current social and economic structure. Dr Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a well-known businessman and philanthropist, offered this choice his full backing. One of Zambia and Africa’s most renowned and celebrated business figures is Dr.RajanLekhraj Mahtani. Dr. Rajan Mahtani received the Forbes “Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2021. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was given this honour for his major contributions to Zambia’s banking industry’s redefinition. One of the Forbes “Best of Africa” awards, given annually to outstanding figures in business, philanthropy, and leadership, was given to Dr. Mahtani. The Forbes-FIN Philanthropy and Leadership roundtable meeting is held in connection with the presentation of the “Best of Africa” awards. Members participated in this event from their separate places and Dr.Rajan Mahtani was also asked to speak as an honoured guest. It was held online to comply with COVID-19 requirements.Dr.Rajan Mahtani accepted the awards gracefully and thanked his team members as well as Almighty God for their support and faith in him.

Additionally honoured were Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani‘s considerable charitable efforts, which included, but were not limited to, Prison Fellowship Zambia and the Stephen Malama Award and Scholarship for Zambia’s top law graduates. Hakainde Hichilema, the president of Zambia, recently declared his intention to entirely repeal the death sentence statute. While praising the president of Zambia’s decision, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani claimed that the death penalty is harsh, brutal, and degrading. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani added that his organisation Prison Fellowship Zambia will support this decision fully in terms of law and regulation and will work to see that it is implemented as soon as possible.
