Businesses and events have started to resume their activities, albeit a slow rate. One of these events in Africa was the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. It is one of the most famous and anticipated business and philanthropy events in Africa. The event usually takes place in New York every year. However, this year’s event was held virtually, and members participated from their respective locations. The event was also broadcasted across the globe via YouTube medium. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a celebrated and respected businessman from Zambia, was invited in this event as an honorary speaker and spoke about healthcare sector and the importance of political leadership in the upliftment of this sector. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards are created by Forbes itself, which is known as one of the top business magazines across the globe. Furthermore, the process of selecting the candidates is extremely rigorous and transparent. The process comprises months of verification and background checks, followed by interviews and discussions with the potential recipients to understand their views on philanthropy to achieve long-term empowerment of the African nation.
During the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was conferred with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Rajan Mahtani accepted the award in a humble manner. He thanked Almighty God for his support and strength and also thanked his team for their support.
