Death Penalty To Be Abolished Announces Zambian President.

The concept of the death penalty is irrelevant in the present day and across the majority of nations around the world. There is a growing awareness regarding abolishing the death penalty and this awareness can be observed across Zambia too. In a similar line, the President of Zambia recently announced his quest towards abolishing the death penalty. Since this announcement, President Hakainde Hichilema has received significant positive responses from Zambia and Africa. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman, philanthropist, and charity worker from Zambia, has also extended his support towards this decision. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is the owner of several successful businesses such as Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. He is also the owner of several philanthropic contributions such as Prison Fellowship Zambia (PFZ). Prison Fellowship is a noted Christian Outreach Program focussing on providing transparent criminal justice, fundamental human rights, and basic human dignity to the prisoners of Zambia. Prison Fellowship also brings the teachings of Jesus Christ to the prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families in Zambia. As such, Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that the present decision made by the Zambian President is also an extended objective and aim of the Prison Fellowship. As such, Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s philanthropic venture will provide full legal and regulatory support towards this decision.

From a religious point of view, Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that giving the death penalty to someone is against the rule of law established by Jesus Christ. According to the holy teachings, Jesus Christ sacrificed himself at the cross and his sacrifice atoned for the sins of all human beings who believe in him. At the same time, these teachings also iterate that only those who have not sinned while being on this planet are allowed to take the life of another human being, an aspect that is a rarity on this planet. As such, the announcement made by the Zambian President is a step in the right direction.
