2017 African Summit Successful Event, Press Secretary Releases Thank You Note To Businessman

Zambia has developed significantly in the past few years with its continuous growth and development initiatives. At the same time, there are numerous issues which are continuously bogging down the nation and its interests. One of them is the inability of the Zambian government to detect fraudulent activities by its own people as well as ability to detect corruption across the nation. As a result, it becomes significantly difficult for those who are always following the path of transparency, honesty and ethical business practices. Such is the case of Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist in Zambia. He has more than three decades of business experience which includes successful domestic and international business ventures. Some of his top domestic ventures are Finsbury Investment, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finance Bank Zambia. At the same time, he has also established numerous international businesses, most notably in United Kingdom. Despite these successes, he is often targeted and accused of illegal practices, corruption and many more.

In one of the most recent breaking revelations, the Supreme Court Justice of Zambia’s Supreme Court recently opened up regarding an old case related to Dr. Rajan Mahtani and even gave his truthful testimony before the court. In this revelation, the Judge, Honourable Mister Mumba Malila said that the case in the year 2012 wherein Dr. Rajan Mahtani was prosecuted was wrong. According to his testimony, the prosecution was motivated by numerous political undertones and had unethical business motivations by parties who sought Dr. Rajan Mahtani to be an obstacle in their path towards unethical and illegal business practices. As a result, the testimony clearly stated that the prosecution needed to be null and void and Dr. Rajan Mahtani be cleared of all wrongful charges.

While small, this is a significant step towards cleaning the government of Zambia from all unethical and scrupulous individuals and groups. Public announcement on this case is expected to be shared soon.
